New Carport, Parking Space and Outdoor Stairway Entrance - Snells Beach
Job description:
This job involved adding a carport to the end of the house and replacing the existing steps to the front door. The old garden and paths were excavated to make room for the carport. The existing driveway was re-contoured to flow into the carport and we also incorporated a custom-built channeled drain at the entrance. Retaining walls were required at the rear and side of the carport and along the length of the driveway and this was further developed with extra landscaping to the back garden area and under the stairs at the front entrance to tie it all in together. This work was classed as Restricted Building Work (RBW) due to the structural nature of the work and proximity to boundary and required engineering and surveying.
Client Feedback:
“Glen Hassett (Renovation Projects) has carried out some significant developments on our property over a number of years. These projects include new upper decking to support a conservatory; an architect designed carport and concrete pad parking area; retaining walls and a parking pad to accommodate our motorhome; and boundary fencing. Glen’s workmanship is excellent and all construction and building work has been of the highest quality. In addition Glen has the experience and knowledge to provide advice on construction and solutions to problems with difficult sites and we have found this advice to be very valuable. As a result we have gained high quality additions to our property that are proving to be real assets. We would highly recommend Glen for any project or building work.”
